The open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area was perfect for our group of friends to hang out together. We were impressed with the well-equipped kitchen and the fact that everything provided was enough for all seven of us. the local information given by the host was also very helpful in finding the best shops and restaurants nearby.
The furniture could use some updating as the sofas and chairs were not the most comfortable. some of the bedrooms had outdated and old-fashioned furniture that could use replacements.

Great location near a beautiful park and within walking distance of the town center. Spacious accommodation with large bedrooms and a generous living area. - Adequate free parking available.
Trip hazards with the carpeting and sharp nail heads on the floorboards. Limited amenities such as no free toiletries or kitchen roll.

Spacious and quirky design, suited our group perfectly. Well-equipped kitchen and good cooking facilities. Excellent location, with a lovely walk through a nearby park to the town center. There was a great bakery close by and plenty of good restaurants to choose from.
Furniture and carpets were a bit tired and in need of refreshing. Some of the sofas and chairs were uncomfortable.

We recently stayed at a charming property in the heart of town, perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. The layout was unique, with communal areas upstairs and bedrooms downstairs, providing ample space for our group of seven. The combination of two doubles and two twin rooms catered perfectly to our needs. The property had plenty of quirky features and rooms, giving it a special charm. Additionally, having three toilets was a major convenience for our group. The location was excellent, being next to Abbey Gardens and just a short walk from the town center. We also appreciated the availability of parking space for up to four cars. it was an unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend to others.
While our stay was enjoyable, there were a few minor inconveniences worth mentioning. the showers had only adequate water power, and one of them drained slowly.

Booked this property for my wedding prep with my bridesmaids. Plenty of space for us all to get ready and the master bedroom felt luxurious. The property is well-decorated and conveniently located with off-road parking. The 8-person capacity means everyone gets a proper bed. The unused space was a pleasant surprise. Would definitely book again for special occasions. Well worth the money!
Totally recommend this hotel.

It was a wonderful experience to be able to stay together as a multi-generational family in a property with character. the location was fantastic, with a short walk to Bury St Edmunds. We also appreciated the little touches like a pint of milk in the fridge. Although there was no breakfast provided, it was convenient to have a Tesco Express nearby to stock up for the day. Cons: It was all superb! 😊.

We loved the beautiful building and home-from-home feel. The location next to park and walks, and very close to the shops and restaurants in the town centre was excellent. Main rooms including kitchen were well equipped and easy to live with. The property has lots of space and character with a real wooden vaulted ceiling making it light and airy. The main living/lounge area is very large and easily seated an extra 9 local family members visiting one evening.
Felt very secure, no complaints.
